The work week starts off in a fog... this time, quite literally. This pair of shots from our Twin Lakes Park office show the sun straining to peek through, without much luck so far.
We can't do much about the literal fog, but we can help you clear some of the figurative clouds. Visit our web site at
http://sfyl.ifas.ufl.edu/sarasota for information on myriad topics. And, find one or more of our classes/ workshops to feed your interests at http://ufsarasotaext.eventbrite.com. Jan 22 This post has 5 like(s)
We know one little girl who really enjoyed herself on the TreeQuest scavenger hunt, part of our Arbor Day activities!
Three-year-old Ezra, daughter of Cassia Wieland, can't contain her excitement after finding one of five trees tagged for the event. Excited as she was, Ezra would be even more over the moon if she were to win a rain barrel offered as a raffle prize for the contest, her mother said.
You still can get in on the action. Download the TreeQuest postcard at
http://bit.ly/treequestsarasota, visit either Shamrock or Urfer park, find key trees using the supplied clues, and then submit your answers(as shown on the postcard) by Feb. 2 to win. And don't forget to send us your selfies (with the tree tag showing, please), just like Ezra did.
